His Eminence, Sheikh Hassan al-Saffar expresses sympathy with the victims of natural disasters and accidents in the world, and at the same time condemns "hatred and Black Thoughts" and gloating about the non-Muslims victims.

Sheikh Saffar states regrets about expressing "gloat and vindictiveness" that some preachers hail against the victims of Hurricane Sandy that hit the Eastern Coast of the United States of America, recently.

Sheikh Saffar says: "We, from our humanitarian conducts and through inspired values ​​of our religion, respect human beings and their feelings along with sympathizing with them. We commiserate those affected over there. We ask God to dodge all harms away from humans."

This was announced during a Friday sermon in the Eastern city of Qatif, Saudi Arabia, in November 2nd, 2012.

He wonders: "How do we want others to understand that our faith is the religion of mercy, forgiveness, and pardon?"

He says that disasters, accidents, and hurricanes come due to a divine decree and within the laws of nature that affect Muslims and non-Muslims alike; calling for the adoption of "a more humane language" about all human beings.

In the same context, he criticizes the promotion of Islamic Salvation Organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia earlier fatwas that prohibit the provision of humanitarian assistance to non-Muslims or Muslims who do not follow the Sunni beliefs.

His Eminence accuses "this fanatical obscurantist ideology" that spawns terrorism which incites Muslims against each other to the point of killing the Shiite Muslims and other Sunni in mosques.

And condolences the families of the fire victims in Abqaiq and Riyadh

Sheikh Saffar expresses condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims of the two incidents of fire in the province of Abqaiq and the city of Riyadh.

Dozens of Saudis have died days ago in a fire that broke out in a wedding pavilion in the province of Abqaiq in the Eastern Province. Also tens of others expired in an explosion of a gas tanker in the city of Riyadh.

In front of a crowd of worshipers, Sheikh Saffar continues to say: "From our side, we comfort the families that have been affected by these tragedies. We suffer for their pain, stand and sympathize with them."

He continues: “We pray for them to be well and hope everyone can reflect such feelings that Islam implants and nurtures in the hearts of Muslims.”
